I like the look of your web page and the new site location. Just wondering is there a playground at the conservation area?

I am sad that the Olympic distance was dropped, it was one of my favourites.

It was also one of the few Oly's around and was a challenging race on a great course.

I guess the numbers haven't been there?

Maybe it will be back in the future?

That said it has always been a very well supported event with excellent volunteers.

Thanks. Our website was designed by local graphic designer Blanca Urbanellis, and was programmed by Terry Mulholland.

Unfortunately, there is not a playground at Ennismore Waterfront Park. The nearest playground is just up Ennis Road at the school (on Robinson, beside the arena). There is, however, a nice little beach, with a shallow walk-in which is great for little ones, and also a diving platform a few metres out in the water.

Here is some more info on the park from the township website:

Ennismore Waterfront Park - 1053 Ennis Road, Ennismore

Swimming • Trails • Picnic Pavilion Covering over 50 acres on the shores of Chemong Lake, this park has a beach and a large picnic area with a pavilion. The Ennismore Heritage Trail (described below) is a main feature of this park. Open May 15th to October 15th - 8 am to 8:30 pm. Trail parking available during daylight hours until November 15th.

Ennismore Heritage Trail - Ennismore Waterfront Park

Completed as a Millennium Bureau of Canada Project, the Trail leads to the interior of this large and beautiful park. Interpretive information points guide you through a variety of natural settings and regional points of interest. Features include two boardwalk sections, an osprey viewing platform, and an interior picnic area with pavilion.

Yes, the Olympic has always been poorly attended, although there was a small but loyal group of regulars, my husband included. Unfortunately, it just didn't make sense for the amount of extra work it entails. We decided instead to offer a Du and Relay options, to best meet the needs of a larger number of athletes. Who knows, maybe it will be back one day!

If you haven't signed up yet this is the last chance before the price goes up and you won't get a Technical T-Shirt.

Don't forget Creemore Springs is sponsoring!

Sorry! For budget reasons we couldn't get extra shirts and our printer needs the two weeks to order and print them.

Uh, better luck next year? See you on the 15th!

Just a quick reminder:

Online registration closes this Wednesday at midnight. After that it's race day sign up only - registration opens at 8am.

For all spectators: M&Ms will be on-site providing food and drinks for sale, and Creemore is sponsoring our beer tent, which opens at noon.

Come on out and race... or, um, drink beer and watch!

Lots of room left for relay entries!!
