2010 Runner's Life Duathlon

Grass Roots Racing At It's Best!
Accurate Course, Good Food, Accurate Timing, Great Prizes & Reasonalbe Entry Fee! No T-Shirts, No Frills You Don't Need, No Overpriced Entry Fee!

Long Course: 5k Run/20k Bike/5k Run

Short Course: 2.5k Run/10k Bike/2.5k Run

Why? A great event to test your early season fitness! Rolling hills on both the run and bike make this event scenic and challenging! The Short Course is great for your first multisport event or kids!

When: Sunday May 16th 2010, 1pm start for everyone.

How Much? $40 for Long Cource,$30 for Short Cource, $40 for the Relay. Extra $5 after May 2nd.

How do I enter? At Runner's Life, 174 Charlotte St. 705-876-8960 or register online by clicking here.

Where? St. Joseph's Church, Duoro, a quiet village 10 minutes from Peterborough.

Directions: From Peterborough Take Parkhill Rd East out of town. Veer right on County Rd. 8 and follow that for 5k to the 4 corners in Duoro, Plenty of Parking there.
From the 401: Take Hwy 115 North until it ends at Hwy 28. Take that north to County Rd. 8 and turn left (east) and follow that for 4k to Duoro.
From Ottawa: Take Hwy 7 West to Hwy 28 Take that north to County Rd. 8 and turn right (east) and follow that for 4k to Duoro. For Google Directions Click HERE

The Course:
100% Accurate Course. Rolling Hills on scenic, quiet country roads. Every kilometer is marked on the out-and-back portions of the run. Every Kilometer marked for the 10km out and back Cycle.



Food: Great Apres Race Food with Wraps, Fruit & Cookies!

Washrooms: Portopotti on site

Cash for the top 3 Male & Females Overall $50/$30/$20
Top person in each age group receives a great prize. Age groups are 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
$50 Bonus for Course Record: Male: Scott Takala 1:05.36 2008, Female Kathy Eggerberger, 1:17.48 2006
Performance Bonus of additional $50 for the new course record

What Else? Water station on the run. Portopotti on site. No Drafting.

Massage & Stretching Kevin Pinheiro, RMT will be on site before and after the event to assist you in stretching and/or massage therapy.

10. Those who can DU, those who can't TRI.

9. Weather looks great! Funds raised go to St. Joseph's Church.

8. 1pm start means I can sleep in and have coffee in my own bed instead of getting a hotel or waking up at 4am.

7. Perfect early season tune up that won't intimidate beginners with hoopla, $20k bikes, 2% body fat or Ironman tattoos.

6. You can park your car and your rack your bike 50ft apart.
