Directions:
From Toronto: 401 East to Hwy 115 North to Ashburnam Dr. Follow Ashburnam Dr. to Beavermead Park on the left. Parking on site.
From : Ottawa: Hwy 7 West to Peterborough. Stay on 7 (Lansdowne St.) until you hit Lansdowne St. & Ashburnham. Turn right (north) on Ashburnham Dr. and Beavermead Park is on the left at the next lights. Parking on site.

Timing:
Manual timing by CheapTime Results. Posted on site within minutes after the each wave and online at runnerslife.ca within 12hrs. after the event. Total elapsed time will be posted but no split times. For previous year's results click HERE
Food, Bibs & T-Shirts:
T-Shirts are guaranteed to every participant but anyone registering after August 8th will not be guaranteed the correct size or receive a customized Bib. A customized bib # has your child's name on it, to view an example of a customized bib click HERE. T-Shirt sizes are children's sizes and can be tried on for size at Runner's Life. Small/Medium/Large & XL are available. Food is provided for every participant and volunteer but not for parents or spectators so please bring your own.

Rules & Regulations:
You must read the rules and be familiar with them. To view them click HERE. The child's age is determined by how old they will be on December 31st 2009.
Kids In Training:
There is a Kids In Training Day Scheduled for July 25th. It is a great opportunity to see the course, practice the skills, gain confidence, learn the rules and Have Fun! For information about it click HERE
Race Kit Pick Up:
Race Kits can be picked up at Runner's Life on Friday August 21st from 12pm-7pm or at Beavermead Park on Race Day, Saturday August 22nd. The Race Kit includes a T-Shirt, Bib #, course map, sponsors goodies, Swim Cap, Rules & Regulations & more! Every participant also receives a medal upon successful completion of the course.
The Race:
Dr. Shufelts Kids Triathlon is a fun event designed to keep kids active and healthy and introduce them to the fun of triathlon and fair play. Although there are prizes for the top 3 in each age group the emphasis is on participation and having fun in a supportive, safe environment.
Prizes:
Every child receives a medal, t-shirt, swim cap & a nutritious meal. In addition, the top 3 in each age group will be recognized on the podium and given additional age appropriate prizes. The prize presentation will take place within 30min. of the finish of each wave. There will also be LOTS OF DRAW PRIZES throughout the day.
Kids Play Area:
The Peterborough Family Resource Centre will once again provide an amazing kids play area FREE OF CHARGE! It will include face painting, toys, entertainment & activities!
Schedule Of Events & Distances:
It is a good idea to be there approximately 1hr before your child's event. Some of the steps you will need to go through before your child's event are as follows. Race Kit Pick Up (if you didn't do it the day before), Body Marking, Bike Check In & Transition Set Up. This all takes time, don't be rushed and please respect that there may be other athletes racing so please be patient. The order of events is Swim/Bike/Run so all participants will start at the beach. The child's age is determined by how old they will be on December 31st 2009.
The course is 100% traffic free! The cycling takes place on a 10ft wide paved path surrounded by grass. There will be sections of the path where there will be 2 way traffic separated by pylons and tape. To view a picture of the path Click HERE
